Why Not Get A Pontoon Boat?

It's really outstanding to see what was once a real pig of a pontoon boat brought back to life and I've observed ones that the trees have literally grown through, brought back to nearly new condition. And watching the transformation and the satisfaction these individuals experienced in their restoration was also a memorial experience. There really is not any rocket science involved in renovating a pontoon boat at all. And It really won't require any special tools that most any homeowner normally wouldn't have or need sometime anyway and a person can save thousands in comparison to new costs. And if money is tight a person can always complete it in stages as cash becomes available. Matter of fact sometimes it's almost an envy to observe how carefree a good time is had on some pretty rough looking pontoons. But when you've put your family and friends on a floating living room even if it's outfitted with lawn chairs it's still a primary ingredient for a wonderful day on the water.

In this hectic world we are living in now wouldn't it be nice to get away from all of it for awhile? There seems to be always being enough tension at your job it seems as if you could cut it with a knife. We needed a relaxing carefree getaway in our lives to help us unwind and seemingly escape reality. We found ours and it's our boat and more specifically a pontoon boat. When we put our floating living room into the water it seems as if our worries and concern float on off away from us. Often we find ourselves almost drifting along with the current of the river in almost complete tranquility and at peace with our surroundings. Fact is how the quiet and peaceful of atmosphere and freedom of movement and mobility is what sold us on pontoon boats. We shopped long and hard and covered a lot of country looking and shopping for our dream boat. And on one of our earlier excursions we were offered a ride on a newer pontoon boat equipped with a four cycle outboard motor. Boy was that a pleasant experience on the water, it seemed as if we were just drifting along in silence. Yes the newer motors run that quietly, that you have to actually focus at trying to hear them in operation when underway. Though we didn't buy that particular boat we sure bought into the quiet operation and the technology of the four cycle motors.

Though we didn't buy that particular boat we were totally impressed with the marina owner and how graciously he treated us. Fact is if the floor plan would have been acceptable for our needs I'm certain we would have purchased it from him. We spent another month or more of spending every available moment of our free time looking for our dream pontoon before we realized one with our particular needs and desires were few and far between or just simply unavailable. Ultimately what we ended up doing is returning to that marina and buying that motor with a brand new boat attached to it. But unfortunately it had to be special ordered and we lost half the summer waiting for our ship to come in. It's truly a beautiful boat and is just what we wanted and desired in a pontoon boat but I wouldn't go the same route again.

Times have changed and with the access and availability of good quality new and used parts I'd now buy a wreck of sorts. There are some real bargains out there on what could become your dream pontoon also. Any person with just some basic skills can take a rundown rotted out pontoon in deplorable condition and turn it into a boat anyone would be proud to own and save thousands off the price of new. Just give the pontoons, cross members, railing and fencing careful evaluation and make sure they are still in sound and serviceable condition. These are very difficult to match should they be damaged beyond serviceable condition. New plywood for the deck, some floor covering either carpet or vinyl, a sound console for your controls and gauges and you could be on the water. I've observed a lot of people having a high ho good time with just that and some resin lawn chairs. But when you've put your family and friends on a floating living room even if it's outfitted with lawn chairs it's still a primary ingredient for a wonderful day on the water.

Maybe I'll have the opportunity to meet you on the water sometime and share a few pork chops? Please check out this link for a comprehensive list of quality replacement parts for Pontoon Boats.
