Pontoon Houseboat Pictures

In reality what is working so well for us is not really a houseboat in many ways. For the people who own and have the real deal in houseboats have all the conveniences of home installed on board their boats. For us and our needs on our weekend floating retreat and getaway, many of the amenities commonly found in our homes just aren’t wanted or needed. Sure we installed some basic amenities on our boat we thought were necessary for us to be comfortable for the weekend, and we can also be quite content for the occasional weekly stays we may hopefully also enjoy on board our houseboat. I guess what I’m trying to say is there are many ways to build and incorporate you’re individual needs into your perceptive house boating needs. We’ve had the opportunity to enjoy using our freshly rebuilt pontoon house boat for several long weekends as of now. And we’ve also had the pleasure of showing our boat to an enormous amount of people in our travels so far. It simply arises the curiosity of others and they desire to see it and we’re enjoying showing and sharing our weekend warrior.

It really seems as if the economical segment of affordable houseboats is being sadly overlooked in today’s market. I know when we were looking for an affordable floating camper that would suit our needs they were few and far between and the affordability part at least for us and maybe many of you was really un-affordable. We had to find another way to find our affordable needs and you may need to also. I know we spent a lot of time discussing what we needed and felt necessary then we attempted to put everything to paper, and floor plans for our house boating necessities and needs.I’m well aware of the fact of what is working perfectly for us maybe would not suit you needs at all for far too many various reasons to list here.

That’s the reason it’s important for you to determine what’s important to you and yours and make your houseboat fit your comfort needs. There are far too many numerous ways to build and design a potential water getaway to really go into the infinite details here. And although I’d have loved to have had access to the interiors of the many different houseboats pictured on this album but unfortunately that is unlikely to ever happen. But in reality the interior design itself can be quite flexible and with some ingenuity on your part, even though maybe small in size many could sleep several people well comfortably. Since I’ve always had far more access to pull behind campers and the flexible ingenuity built into them.I utilized and built what I thought were their best space saver features into the ultimate design and layout of our pontoon houseboat (camper).

If you should also chose to work with pontoons for your boat project and getaway old campers may be your best most economical choice for some of the needed and necessary materials you may need for your houseboat project. With careful shopping a person can pick up a sometimes very used camper with very costly usable components for a song. And since pontoon houseboats are relatively safe with propane components such as ranges and ovens, even refrigerators because there’s not a hull for propane gases to accumulate and cause potential fire and explosion hazards. The availability and use of such used components can save thousands in costs compared to the prices of buying new appliances for your potential project houseboat. Maybe it’s time for you to put your pencil to paper and build and design your very own pontoon house boat to fit and fill your weekend needs also.

This is just one entry of a series we’ve put together of our own personal experiences in the now completed rebuild and restoration of our pontoon houseboat from the pontoons frame on up. Hopefully you’ll find our shared experience both helpful and informative if you’re considering building or remodeling one for your very own. You can view the whole series here and its entries progress from bottom of index on up.
